Mutrade successfully completed an underground parking project in Bucharest, Romania, with support from a local partner. This initiative utilized the 2-post tilted lift Starke 2327 to address space constraints in urban basements, providing efficient, independent parking for two vehicles per unit. The tilted design optimizes low-ceiling environments, making it ideal for retrofitting existing structures.

Challenge

Urban basements in Bucharest often have very low ceilings (below 3 m) and limited excavation depth due to structural constraints and high groundwater levels. Traditional lifts require deeper pits and higher ceilings, increasing costs and complexity. The Starke 2327 solved this by using a tilted platform design, allowing installation in shallower pits and lower headroom while maintaining full vehicle access.

Project Highlights: Key Benefits

  • Minimal Pit Depth — Only 1600 mm minimum, reducing digging and waterproofing expenses
  • Ultra-Low Ceiling Fit — Works in spaces as low as 2700 mm, ideal for retrofitting old buildings
  • Cost Savings — Less excavation, simpler foundation work, faster ROI
  • Easy Vehicle Access — Tilted entry/exit makes driving in/out comfortable even in tight spaces
  • Independent Parking — No need to move lower cars to access upper ones
  • Reliable & Safe — Hydraulic system with overload protection and CE certification
  • Versatile — Handles sedans and SUVs up to 2700 kg

Recommendations: When to Choose Starke 2327

  • Low-Headroom Basements — Perfect for ceilings ≤ 2700 mm where standard lifts won’t fit
  • Shallow Pit Constraints — Select when excavation is limited (min 1600 mm pit)
  • Urban Retrofits — Ideal for older buildings needing parking upgrades without major reconstruction
  • Budget-Sensitive Projects — Choose for cost efficiency with reliable independent parking
  • Moderate Traffic — Best for residential/commercial use with daily access needs
